SYMPTOMS

Holidays do not appear on the Works 2000 Calendar beyond the year 2002.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, extend the holiday into future years:

  1. Start Works Calendar.
  2. On the View menu, click Month.
  3. Scroll to the month in the year 2002 that contains the holiday that you want to extend into future years.
  4. Click to select the holiday that you want to extend.
  5. On the File menu, click Open Appointment.
  6. In the Edit Appointment dialog box, click to select the Make this appointment repeat check box.
  7. Click Recurrence.
  8. Under Recurring in the Recurrence Options dialog box, click Yearly.
    1. If the holiday always falls on a specific day of the year, click On.

For example, to extend Christmas Eve, click On, and then verify that December and 24th are selected.
    2. If the holiday falls on a specific day of the month, click Every.

For example, to extend Labor Day, click Every, and then verify that First, Monday, and September are selected.
  9. Under Range of recurrence, click End after, and then select the number of future years for which you want the holiday to appear.
  10. Click OK, and then click OK again.
In Works 2001, you can set the year up to 2099.
