SUMMARY

When you install Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 or Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server into a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 site, you are asked to specify the Exchange Server 5.5 service account and password for the site that you are installing into. After installation, you may need to verify this account information or re-enter the password.

Steps to verify the Exchange Server 5.5 service account and password:
  1. Start Exchange System Manager.
  2. Navigate to the administrative group that contains the Exchange Server 5.5 and Exchange 2000 Server or Exchange Server 2003 computers.
  3. Right-click the administrative group, and then click Properties.
  4. Account information is located on the General tab. To re-enter the password, click Modify.
