SYMPTOMS

When you copy user profiles to another location, you can optionally change who is permitted to use a profile by selecting from a list of users and groups from the local computer account database (for a member server or Windows 2000 Professional-based client), a domain account database, or any trusted domain account database.

However, if the host domain is a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-based domain, there is no option to select either the computer's domain or any trusted domain.

CAUSE

When it fills the list, the search filter is incorrectly set to display only the local computer.
