When you play on a golf course that includes rivers or trenches, water
in the rivers or trenches may appear to be missing or black. In aerial photos, some types of water appear deep indigo blue or black. This is by design.

This behavior occurs because photo-realistic water and reflections are
only displayed for lakes and other still water bodies.
Links Extreme, Microsoft Links LS 2000, and Links 2001 do not render water for other hazards, such as rivers or trenches.
