When you play a new round of golf, the golfer on the screen may play the
game by itself, without any of your input.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if you select only computer-controlled golfers on
the Select Players screen.
Computer-controlled golfers are denoted by a blue circle with a small "C"
displayed in the center of the circle.
User-controlled golfers are denoted by a white circle with a small red
flag displayed in the center of the circle.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, select at least one user-controlled golfer from
the list of golfers on the Select Players screen.
MORE INFORMATION
If you play a game that requires two or more golfers, computer-controlled
golfers can substitute for additional user-controlled golfers.
