XADM: Cannot Set the Maximum Memory Cache Size Smaller Than 2 MB (257397)

When you limit the maximum memory usage (MaxMemory) of the DSAccess component to 2 megabytes (MB), the new value entered does not take effect and is ignored.
CAUSE
The minimum amount of memory required for the DSAccess component to properly cache attributes from the directory is 2 MB. Any value under 2 MB is ignored and may cause DSAccess to cache the attributes returned from the directory incorrectly.
The DSAccess component MaxMemory setting is located in the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeDSAccess\Instance0:MaxMemory STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
