When you import numeric data into Microsoft MapPoint 2001, the leading
zeros in the data may be truncated.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you import the data in *.csv or *.txt format.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, use Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel to
open the data file, and then format the numeric data that you want to
import into MapPoint 2001 as text.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft MapPoint 2001.
