PRB: PID Not Accepted in Target Designer (257215)

SYMPTOMS

You keyed in a product identifier (PID) but Target Designer does not accept it.

CAUSE

Your distributor supplied you with an incorrect PID.

RESOLUTION

Contact your distributor for a correct run-time PID. To comply with contractual agreements with our distributors, Microsoft cannot provide you with run-time PIDs.

MORE INFORMATION

Target Designer requires 25-character PIDs. Some distributors incorrectly provide customers with PIDs that are too short.
