SYMPTOMS

With a non-English-language version of Microsoft Office 2000 Developer, when you run the Package and Deployment Wizard or other add-ins that are included with Office Developer, you notice that the wizard or add-in uses English.

CAUSE

The international setting in the Regional Settings tool in Control Panel (or in the Regional Options tool in Windows 2000) is set to a local language rather than to the standard language. For example, if you are running a French-language version of Office Developer and the regional setting is set to French (Belgique) rather than French (Standard), you would see this behavior.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
