SYMPTOMS

The Domain box in the Dial-Up Connection Settings dialog box in Internet properties may be populated with the domain name that is specified in Client for Microsoft Networks.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if your primary network logon is set to Client for Microsoft Networks and it is configured to log on to a Microsoft Windows NT-based domain.

STATUS

This behavior is by design. The domain information is not used when you dial an Internet provider.
