Unable to Print Web Pages Using the 'Print All Linked Web Pages' Setting in Another Language (257043)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to print Web pages using the "print all linked web pages" setting in a character language other than English, the linked Web pages may not print.

CAUSE

This issue can occur when the linked Web page language is not the same as your default browser language.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, ask your Web Master to remove the "name=MS.LOCALE" META tag.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, print each Web page individually.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This does not affect Web pages that are using no MS.LOCALE or MS.LOCALE=en-us settings.
This affects you if you have localized your page content and you must rely on this field to access language-specific information in a database or make other server-based localization decisions.
