SYMPTOMS

When you print a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) page containing Japanese text from Internet Explorer 5.5 to a PostScript printer, only a few lines are printed on the first page, and the following PostScript error message appears on the second page:
ERROR: rangecheck
OFFENDING COMMAND: widthshow

This behavior occurs when you are using a Windows Millennium-based computer.

  1. In Internet Explorer, open an HTML page that contains Japanese text.
  2. Print to a PostScript printer.
