SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to remove a Web site that is added to the Local Intranet zone, the site may not be removed.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the site's Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is composed entirely of numbers.
RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
To resolve this behavior, use the following steps:
- Start Registry Editor (click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK).
- Click the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domain - Delete the registry key for the Web site.
