When you restart your computer after you connect one of the Microsoft IntelliMouse pointing devices or Microsoft SideWinder game controllers that are listed in the "Applies To" section, your computer may stop responding after completing the POST (Power On Self Test).
This symptom often occurs during or shortly after the memory test.CAUSE
This issue may occur if the following conditions are true:
- A GigaByte GA-7IX motherboard is installed in the computer.
- You connected the IntelliMouse pointing device or SideWinder game
controller to a USB (Universal Serial Bus) hub.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, download and install a BIOS update for the GigaByte GA-7IX motherboard from the following GigaByte Web site:
