PRJ2000: Custom Cost Field Data Is Pasted as $0.00 (256685)

In Microsoft Project, when you copy and paste a task, the custom Cost field data defaults to $0.00.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur when you copy and paste one or more tasks in a view and include all 10 of the custom Cost fields (Cost1 through Cost10).
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, copy the custom cost data from the original task and paste it into the new row.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
