PRJ2000: Resource Names Not Displayed In Filtered Resource Usage View (256684)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you apply a filter in a Resource Usage view, the resource name may not be displayed along with its filtered assignments.

CAUSE

This problem may occur in a Resource Usage view when you apply a filter that has the Show related summary rows option selected.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, group the project by the field you are filtering, and then apply the filter. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Project menu, point to Group by, and then click Customize Group by.
  2. Under Field Name, type or select the field you want to filter.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Apply your filter.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
