Cannot use quotation mark (") character in name of storage group using Exchange Management Object (256420)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use a quotation mark character (") in a storage group name programmatically via Exchange Management Objects, you receive the following error message:
Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)'
Error: The operation failed.
ID no: 80004005

Code: 80004005

CAUSE

Quotation marks are not supported as storage group names in Exchange Management Objects. They are supported in the user interface of the Exchange System Manager Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
