XWEB: Folder View Is Not Refreshed When a Message Saved in the Drafts Folder Is Sent (256362)

SYMPTOMS

In Exchange 2000 Outlook Web Access (OWA), when you open a message from the Drafts folder, after you send the message, the message window closes. However, the item is still displayed in the Drafts folder. If you attempt to open this item from the Drafts folder again, you receive a "Page not found" error message.

CAUSE

After the item is sent from the Drafts folder, it is sent successfully on the server and the item is moved to the Sent Items folder. However, the current view of the Drafts folder in the browser is not immediately refreshed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, click the Refresh button on the browser toolbar or click the Check for new messages button in OWA.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
