When you hit a ball into a hazard in practice mode in any of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, you do not receive a penalty, but you must hit the ball out of the hazard.
In Microsoft Links 2001, Microsoft Links LS 2000 and Links LS 1999 Edition, you are not required to drop a ball. You must hit the ball from where it lies in the hazard.
In Links LS 1998 Edition and Links LS 1997 Edition, you are required to drop a ball, but you have to drop the ball from the place where the ball landed in the hazard.
NOTE: This behavior only occurs in practice mode.
