The new Route.exe utility provides routing information currently used by Windows. In addition, the Route.exe utility provides support for Persistent Routes, which are routes that are held in the routing table even after you restart your computer.

To add a persistent route, use the following syntax:

route add (Destination IP) mask (Subnet mask for destination) (Gateway IP) -p

For example:

route add 10.0.0.0 mask 255.0.0.0 172.31.248.1 -p
