XFOR: LDAP Directory Export Does Not Extract More Than 2,000 Users from Netscape Directory Server (255974)

SUMMARY

When you extract user accounts from Netscape Directory Server using the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) extractor included with the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Migration Wizard, you can extract a maximum of 2,000 users, although there may be more users in the Netscape directory. This article describes how to change the settings to increase the number of users to be extracted.

By default, the Netscape Directory Server preferences are set so that a maximum of 2,000 users can be extracted.

Under the Server Preference settings of the Netscape Directory Server administrator, make sure that the values in the following two settings are at least as large as the total number of users in the directory:

Also note that the Migration Wizard can extract only a single container at a time. This limitation is also a possible reason that you cannot extract all the users. Separate extractions must be launched for each container.
