Site Server SP3 Breaks Search on Text Files in Exchange Server Public Folders (255506)

After you install Site Server 3.0 Service Pack 3 (SP3), you can no longer query a text (.txt) file attachment that is contained in an Exchange Server public folder.
CAUSE
This is caused by a change in the way attachments are searched.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, replace the version of the Exchci.dll file from Site Server 3.0 SP3 with the version created in the backup directory when you install SP3.
RESOLUTIONA supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Site Server service pack that contains this hotfix.
