This article was previously published under Q255278 SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to apply the Numbered list format to a column in a table in Microsoft Publisher 2000, each cell in the column contains the same number or the same letter instead of a numeric or alphabetic sequence.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, manually type the numbers that you want into each cell in the column:
- Select the portion of the column that is formatted as a Numbered list.
- On the Format menu, click Indents and Lists.
- Under Indent settings, click the Normal option, and then click OK.
- Place the insertion point in the cell, and then type the number that you want to assign to that cell.
- Repeat step 4 for each cell to which you want to assign a number.
- On the File menu, click Save.
