XFOR: Rescheduled Meeting Request Creates New Invitation (255162)

If a meeting request is sent from Exchange 2000 to a Lotus Notes Group through the Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes and then the meeting is rescheduled, the updated meeting request looks like a new invitation and it does not remove the original invitation.
You might expect that when the rescheduled meeting request is accepted by the Notes user, the updated meeting information would replace the original meeting information.
CAUSE
Calendaring correlation records are created on a per-meeting basis only and not on a per-invitee basis. The Exchange-to-Notes transform process creates a new meeting request if new attendees are added, even if you change the meeting time or location.
In this scenario, when a member of the group invited accepts an invitation, he or she is added to the attendee list. When the meeting is rescheduled, the Connector for Lotus Notes sees that the attendee list has changed and does not set the reschedule type for the meeting. Instead, it creates a new invitation.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
