SUMMARY

It is recommended that you reset the Lotus Notes Just In Time (JIT) debugger setting after you set up a Lotus Notes client on an Exchange 2000 server. Doing so allows the Connectivity Controller to restart a Connector for Lotus Notes process if it failed to handle an exception and, therefore, to continue its normal operation. Lotus Notes Setup enables its utility "Quincy" to handle failed processes (crashes) that require operator intervention (to click OK) to end the failed process.

MORE INFORMATION

You can disable the JIT Debugger with the following procedure:

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug

  3. Select the Debugger value.

  5. To use Dr. Watson, type drwtsn32.exe -p %ld -e %ld.NOTE: An easier way to make Dr. Watson the default debugger by running this command:

    drwtsn32.exe -i
