SYMPTOMS

If you start the System Information tool (Msinfo32) in Safe mode, the following warning message appears briefly on the screen:
SMBIOS DOS Driver

If you run an MS-DOS program in Safe mode, you risk corrupting the video display or experiencing other anomalies. Do you want to run the program anyway?

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
