SUMMARY

This article lists the changes to the DWG converter that are included in Visio Technical 5.0 Plus.

MORE INFORMATION

The DWG converter contains the following improvements and problem fixes:
  • When you open a DWG file, update it, and then save it, Visio Technical saves the file in both VSD and DWG format. The next time that you open the DWG file, it opens correctly.
  • When you convert symbol libraries containing blocks to Visio Technical using the "Convert AutoCAD Library" macro, Visio Technical no longer creates empty master shapes.
  • When you export shapes with more than one polyline to DWG format, Visio Technical no longer stops responding.
  • If you import or export a drawing containing polylines, Visio Technical now preserves the polyline width information when imported and preserves it in the DWG file when exported.

NOTE: When converting an IntelliCAD file to Visio Technical, the polyline width information is not preserved if you used the Entity Properties dialog box in IntelliCAD to change the polyline vertex width. Instead, use the PEDIT command to preserve the polyline width information.
