Visio5: A Network Error 1 Occurs When You Use the Network Installation Command to Install the Visio 5.0 Upgrade Version (254491)

SYMPTOMS

The Visio Setup program allows you to install the Visio program on a network by adding the /n command line option to the command line when you start the program. When you add this command line option to install the Visio 5.0 upgrade, and after you specify the installation network drive and folder, you may receive the following error message:

Network Error 1: System\_VSetup.DLL

RESOLUTION

Just click OK when you receive this error message. The Setup program then finishes the Visio 5.0 upgrade installation successfully.

MORE INFORMATION

This error message occurs only if you install the Visio 5.0 upgrade version. It does not occur in the Not For Resale and retail versions of Visio 5.0.

If you receive this error message during installation, you may also receive related error messages the first time that you run Visio. For example, if you click Save As HTML, you may receive the following error message:

Unable to load export filters.

If you receive this error message, restarting Visio will resolve the error message.
