'Advanced' Button Under 'Display' Does Not Work After Installation of Windows NT 4.0 Drivers in Windows 2000 (254265)

SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Microsoft Windows 2000, or after you install Windows NT 4.0 drivers in Windows 2000, and you click the Advanced button on the Settings tab under Display in Control Panel, you may receive an error message.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because none of the video drivers shipped with Windows 2000 support hardware acceleration of OpenGL.
RESOLUTIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
To work around this behavior, alter or delete all the values under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls
Folder\Display\Shellex\PropertySheetHandlers\OpenGL
Follow these steps:
- Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
- Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Controls
Folder\Display\Shellex\PropertySheetHandlers\OpenGL
- Delete all the values in the key.
- Quit Registry Editor.
