The following video adapter information applies to Microsoft Windows 2000 Server:

  1. A video adapter is required:

    Windows 2000 will not start correctly unless a video adapter is installed.
  2. Changing the display mode in Safe Mode has no effect:

    When you start Windows 2000 in Safe Mode, you can modify the display resolution in the Display settings window. However, the display resolution does not actually change.
