Cannot Synchronize Windows CE Device with a Windows 2000 Computer Without ActiveSync 3.0 (254243)

When you try to synchronize a Microsoft Windows CE-based device with a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer without ActiveSync 3.0, you are unable to do so.
To correctly configure the communications with the mobile devise, Setup must remove and then reinstall the Remote Access service (RAS).
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because Windows 2000 supports only the ActiveSync 3.0 version of the Windows CE connection services.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install ActiveSync 3.0. To download ActiveSync 3.0 free of charge, visit the Microsoft Windows CE Web site at:
