SYMPTOMS
When you install the Office 97 SR-1 Patch, the Outlook and Exchange Forms Extension may not be automatically registered.
RESOLUTION
There are three methods to resolve this problem; they are listed from most preferred to least preferred.

- Modify the registry.
WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
- Quit Outlook.
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- Type regedit, and then click OK.
- Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Extensions
- On the Edit menu, point to New, click String Value, and then type:
Outlook/Exchange Forms Coexistence - With the new value selected, click Modify on the Edit menu, and then type the following into the Value data field:
"4.0;C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Addin\frmrdrct.dll;1;10000000000000;0;" NOTE: When you add string values in Registry Editor, the quotation marks are added when the new entry is created. The text in this step must appear within the quotation marks, and must appear on one continuous line. This path indicates the default location. You must include the correct path if you did not install the Office 97 SR-1 Patch to this location. - On the Registry menu, click Exit.
