XL2000: Crash When Removing Formatting from PivotTable (253846)

When you point to Clear on the Edit menu, and then click Formats, Excel stops responding, and you receive an error message similar to one of the following:
Windows 95 and 98
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
When you click Details (on Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, press ALT+D), you receive the following message: EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in EXCEL.EXE at 0167:30548263.
NOTE: The actual memory address may vary.

An application error has occurred and an application error log is being
generated.

CAUSE
This problem occurs when you attempt to remove formatting that you have applied to your PivotTable.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
