WD98: Selected Address Is Not Inserted When You Use Outlook Express Address Book (253237)

SYMPTOMS

When you insert an address from the Outlook Express Address Book into Microsoft Word 98, the address that is inserted may not be the one that you selected. For example, if you clicked the Home address button, the Business address may be inserted instead.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods appropriate for your situation.

Method 1: Refresh the Current Selection

Select a different option, and then click the correct option again. For example, follow these steps to select the Home option, if it is currently selected:
  1. Click the Business button.
  2. Click the Home button.
  3. Click the name you want, and then click OK.

Method 2: Select the Button That You Want Each Time

Here are the steps to follow:
  1. Click an Outlook Express Address Book.
  2. Click the name that you want from the list.
  3. Click the Home button or the Business button.
  4. Click OK.
