PhD: JPEG Files Are Not Installed When You Install PhotoDraw (252817)

When you attempt to find the following files referred to in the Microsoft
PhotoDraw Idea Book, the files are not located on your hard disk:
- Pdib01.jpg
- Pdib02.jpg
- Pdib03.jpg
- Pdib04.jpg
- Pdib05.jpg
- Pdib06.jpg
- Pdib07.jpg
- Pdib08.jpg
- Pdib09.jpg
- Pdib10.jpg
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the JPEG files on the PhotoDraw Installation
CD-ROM are not copied to your hard disk when you install PhotoDraw.
NOTE: The MIX files that are located on the PhotoDraw Installation
CD-ROM are copied to your hard disk when you install PhotoDraw.
RESOLUTION
To copy the JPEG files to your hard disk:
- Insert the PhotoDraw Installation CD-ROM into your CD-ROM
drive. Press and hold down the SHIFT key as you insert the CD-ROM
to prevent PhotoDraw Setup from starting automatically.
- Click Start, point to Find, and then click
Files or Folders.
- In the Named box, type
pdib*.jpg.
- In the Look in box, click the drive letter of
the CD-ROM drive that contains the PhotoDraw Installation CD-ROM,
and then click Find Now.
- On the Edit menu, click Select All.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy.
- Close the Find: Files Named Pdib*.jpg window.
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type the following line (including the
quotation marks), and then click OK
"drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\PhotoDraw\Tutorial"
where drive is the drive letter of the
hard disk on which PhotoDraw is installed. - On the Edit menu, click Paste.
- If you are prompted to replace existing files, click
Yes to All.
- Close the Tutorial window.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
