SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Midtown Madness, randomly colored shapes may be displayed on the screen or you may experience other graphic related symptoms.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented.

Install Midtown Multiplayer Patch

To download and install the Midtown Multiplayer Patch (Mmpat.exe) from the following Microsoft Web site:

Update Your Video Driver

To update the driver for your video adapter, contact the manufacturer of your video adapter. For information about how to contact the manufacturer of your video adapter, click the appropriate article number in the following list to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

NOTE: This behavior has been reported when either an nVIDIA GeForce 256, GeForce2, or GeForce3 video adapter is installed in the computer.
