When you query a database on a Web server from an .asp file, a Portable Document Format (.pdf) file is not opened in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or 5.01 when the parameter list exceeds 46 characters.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs under the following conditions:
- The parameter(s) given in the URL exceed a length of 46 characters.
- The .pdf files are accessed with HTTP on a Web server. This does not occur if you are using the file:// protocol.
