SUMMARY

After you start the Exchange information store with new blank databases, you receive the following events in the application event log:

You may see the preceding events even though the information store service starts. You need to mount the databases:
  1. Start Exchange System Manager.
  2. Expand Servers, expand Servername, and then expand First Storage Group.
  3. Right-click the Mailbox Store, and then click Mount Store.
  4. Right-click Public Folder Store, and then click Mount Store.
You receive the following message:

At least one of this store's database files is missing. Mounting
the store will force the creation of an empty database. Do not
take this action if you intend to restore an earlier backup.

Are you sure you want to continue?
