Unattend.doc on the Windows 2000 CD-ROM Has Incorrect IIS Parameters for FTP and NNTP Services (252504)

SUMMARY

The default parameters noted in the Unattend.doc file on the Windows 2000 CD-ROM in the SUPPORT\TOOLS\DEPLOY.CAB file are incorrect. The Unattend.doc file indicates incorrect default installation settings for the iis_ftp service and the iis_nntp service. The file incorrectly indicates that the default setting is ON when the default setting is actually OFF.

These services are not installed by default, and the Unattend.txt file must be edited with any text editor to reflect the correct settings. To install the FTP and NNTP services, the section of the Unattend.txt file should look like this:
