PhD2: Cannot Control Whether Saved Image Is Tiled in FrontPage (252402)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FrontPage 2000
  • Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000 2.0

This article was previously published under Q252402

SYMPTOMS

When you save an image from Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000 as a background in Microsoft FrontPage 2000, you cannot control whether the image appears tiled or as a single picture in the FrontPage background.

In addition, if you reopen the image in PhotoDraw 2000, the image does not appear tiled.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because tiling is a function of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).

When you save an image from PhotoDraw 2000 for use as a background in FrontPage 2000, the image does not appear tiled until you insert the image as a background picture in FrontPage 2000.

NOTE: Untiled backgrounds are not supported in FrontPage 2000 through the program's user interface.

MORE INFORMATION

Your image appears tiled when you insert the image as a background picture in FrontPage 2000 or view the image in your Web browser.

If you do not want the image to appear tiled, set up a single background picture (also called a watermark) by using Cascading Style Sheets.
