MORE INFORMATION
Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server uses this mailbox as a placeholder for the underlying Exchange 2000 transport subsystem to submit messages to the information store. That is, it is used whenever messages are sent through the information store either to a local mailbox or the server's message transfer agent (MTA).
