XFOR: Uninstalling the Connectors for Lotus Notes, Lotus cc:Mail, or Novell GroupWise Doesn't Remove the Proxy Addresses (252085)

To uninstall the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server connectors for Lotus cc:Mail, Lotus Notes, and Novell GroupWise, you need to start Exchange 2000 Server Setup, and choose to remove the connectors. When you remove the connectors from an Exchange 2000 server, you will find that the proxy addresses for each is kept in each the recipient's policy and in each user's e-mail addresses list. Also, any new users that are created in Exchange 2000 will have addresses generated for these connectors.
CAUSE
This behavior is by design. The addresses cause no ill effects, and may be of value in the future.
WORKAROUND
However, if you want to remove these addresses, you may do so by modifying your recipient policies, which are located in the Recipient Policies folder, in the Organization\Recipients container in Exchange System Manager. To remove connector addresses from each policy's E-Mail Addresses list, right-click the policy, click Properties, and then click the E-Mail Addresses tab. Click to clear the check boxes associated with the connector addresses that you want to remove. The proxy addresses will be removed the next time the Recipient Update service is run.
