SYMPTOMS

When a Lotus Notes chairperson sends a meeting request to an Exchange 2000 user over the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes, if the Prohibit Delegating option is selected, the request is still sent to the delegate in Exchange 2000.

CAUSE

If an Exchange 2000 user has a delegate set up for his or her mailbox, and the Delegate receives copies of meeting-related messages sent to me option is selected, meeting requests are forwarded to that delegate user. When this option has been selected in Exchange, if the Prohibit Delegating option is selected by the Lotus Notes chairperson, the message is still received by the delegate user of the Exchange 2000 mailbox.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.

MORE INFORMATION

In Exchange 2000, if you send meeting request and select the Private option, the delegate user is not able to see that request unless the Delegate can see my private items option has been selected.
