XCON: X.400 Address Spaces Are Created, ADMD Field Not Populated (251660)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
This article was previously published under Q251660 SYMPTOMS
When you create an address space on a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server X.400 Connector without an entry in the Administrative Management Domain Name (ADMD) field, the ADMD field is given no value. The ADMD field is a mandatory X.400 field. In Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 and earlier, this field is given a default value of a blank space.
STATUS
This behavior is by design. Although the ADMD field is a mandatory field for X.400 addresses, it does not need to be expressly filled for address space entries on connectors. If no value is entered, it is considered a wildcard, and will match any value.
