Error Message When Undocking with Video Adapter Docking Station (251491)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Start, and then click Eject PC to eject your computer from a docking station, you may receive the following error message:
You cannot eject your computer because one of the devices in the docking station, Display adapter, cannot be stopped right now. Try closing all applications and ejecting the computer again later.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you have an additional video adapter installed in your docking station.

RESOLUTION

To eject the computer properly, first shut down the computer, and then use the Eject button on the docking station.

NOTE: You cannot eject the computer using the Eject PC command on the Start menu.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
