SYMPTOMS

With Active Desktop installed, if you start the Display tool in Control Panel, click the Plus! tab, and then select the Large Icons option, the shortcut icons on the desktop may become corrupted after you log off and then log back on. If you create a new desktop shortcut or try to modify the icon for a desktop shortcut, the background icon is changed but there is another icon on top of it. This other icon is random but is the same for all desktop shortcuts. Some icons in Windows Explorer (such as the disk icons) may also be corrupted.
