OL2000: Error Message: "Unable to Determine the Type of Folder ..." Creating a Team Folder (251228)

SYMPTOMS

In step 2 of the Outlook Team Folders Wizard, you select where you want to place the team folder and the associated Web pages. After choosing the correct public folder you may receive the following error message:
Team Folders Wizard Error
Unable to determine the type of folder where you are trying to create the team folder.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, run Detect and Repair:
  1. On the Help menu, click Detect and Repair.
  2. Click Start, and insert the compact disc when prompted.
  3. Restart Microsoft Windows when the repair process is complete.
