Office 2000 Supported Configurations

The following are supported configurations of Microsoft Office 2000 and Microsoft Windows:

• English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office 2000 installed on an English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows.
• English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office 2000 installed on a non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows.
• Non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office 2000 installed on the same non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows.
• English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office 2000 plus MUI installed on the English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows plus the same MUI language.

Note You can install a non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office 2000 on an English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows 2000 if you set the System Locale to the same non-English (U.S.) language before you install the non-English (U.S.) version of Office. To set the System Locale, use the Windows 2000 Regional Options Control Panel.

Office 2000 and Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Supported Configurations

The following are supported configurations of Microsoft Office 2000 and the MUI:

• On a system that is running Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP MUI, if the system language and the localized version of Microsoft Office 2000 are the same language, consider the operating system to be the localized version of operating system, which means that Microsoft offers full support for this environment.

Office 2000 Unsupported Configurations

The following are not supported configurations of Office 2000 and Microsoft Windows:

• Non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office 2000 installed on any other non-matching language version of Windows.
• English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office 2000 with a MUI Pack that is installed on a localized version of Windows where the MUI configuration does not match the language version of Windows.
• For languages without a localized version of Microsoft Windows, a localized version of Microsoft Office 2000 that is installed on an English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Windows with correctly set regional settings and system locale is the supported operating system.
• Microsoft Office plus a MUI that is installed on a language version of Windows where the language version of Windows does not match the language version of the installed MUI.
• Non-English (U.S.) version of Microsoft Office that is installed on Windows plus a MUI where the language version of the Windows MUI does not match the language version of Microsoft Office.
