IEAK/Profile Manager: Unable to Specify Category and Channel of the Same Name (250761)

When you try to use the Internet Explorer Administration Kit to add a Channel and a Channel Category of the same name, you receive the following error message:

You cannot have two channels with the same name. Please specify another name for your channel.
When this occurs, the only option given is to click OK.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) does not permit creation of a channel definition file with the same name as a channel category file, when both are specified during the same instance of the IEAK.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, specify a channel or channel category file that do not have the same names when you create the Internet Explorer package.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
