OL2000: (IMO) One-Off E-mail Address Resolves Incorrectly (250420)

When you type an e-mail address that is similar to one of your contacts, it resolves incorrectly to the contact's address.
For example, you have a contact for Ned Smith with an e-mail address of nedsmith@microsoft.com. In a new message, you create a one-off address by typing nedsmit@microsoft.com in the To box. On the Tools menu, you click Check Names to resolve the name, and Outlook changes it to Ned Smith.

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
